Call for Sponsors

WordCamp Toronto is organized and hosted by the local WordPress community for the WordPress community and funded by the WordPress community. As such a grass-roots event, WordCamp Toronto has always relied upon the generous support of businesses. Without it, the event simply could not exist.

We are currently looking for sponsors who will help us make this year’s WCTO as great as possible! What’s in it for you, you ask? Connection with hundreds of attendees eager to learn who the players are and what each has to offer.

This year we are expecting 500 attendees at the event, which we once again are holding at Ryerson University. As a sponsor, you support the WordPress community and have an opportunity to connect with these individuals. You’ll grow your business and be recognized in various ways throughout the two days—a blog post leading up to the event, signage at the venue, etc.

So who attends a WordCamp? Everyone! Brand new users, site developers, marketing professionals, small business owners, reps from large corporations… The list goes on and on. WordCamps offer sponsors an opportunity to meet potential customers and to network within the local WordPress community.

If you are interested in sponsoring, please complete the sponsor application located here. We look forward to partnering with you to make this year’s WordCamp Toronto the best yet!

Talks for all skill levels are welcome: A presentation on what you learned setting up your very first website can be just as valuable as a technical walk-through of how user capabilities and roles are implemented within WordPress.

You can even propose multiple topics, just please submit a speaker application for each topic.

We do NOT require you to be famous, an expert, a programmer, specifically credentialed, or anything like that. If you’ve never spoken at a conference before, don’t let that hold you back! All we ask is that you present your chosen topic passionately and respectfully.

We do have some general guidelines for talks. Your talk should be:
