Call for Speakers

WordCamp Toronto 2017 (#wcto, @wcyyz) is officially open!

WordCamp Toronto 2017 is being held at Ryerson University, Ted Rogers School of Management.

Saturday, September 30, 2017 – Sunday, October 1, 2017
Ryerson University, Ted Rogers School of Management

55 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5G 2C3
(on Dundas midway between Yonge and Bay, 7th floor)

We are looking for speakers who can engage our attendees while teaching them something about WordPress. Send us your idea for a talk, workshop, or conference session. Find out more about being a speaker here.

Talks for all skill levels are welcome: A presentation on what you learned setting up your very first website can be just as valuable as a technical walk-through of how user capabilities and roles are implemented within WordPress.

You can even propose multiple topics, just please submit a speaker application for each topic.

We do NOT require you to be famous, an expert, a programmer, specifically credentialed, or anything like that. If you’ve never spoken at a conference before, don’t let that hold you back! All we ask is that you present your chosen topic passionately and respectfully.

We do have some general guidelines for talks. Your talk should be:

  • directly related to WordPress, or immediately applicable and relevant to our audience;
  • respectful of the WordPress community, the WordCamp code of conduct, and the GPL;
  • something that interests you, that you want to share!

If you think speaking at WordCamp Toronto 2017 is for you, what are you waiting for? Apply now!

Speakers receive free admission to WordCamp!

DEADLINE for Submissions: Monday, July 17, 2017 at midnight
